UK MPs Call For Google Controls
Twenty nine UK MPs (Members of Parliament) have laid down an early day motion calling for greater controls on Google. Google Adwords now has a 90% share of UK pay per click advertising and the MPs are voicing concern over the technical monopoly.
Within the pay per click market Google competes against Yahoo and Microsoft. Yahoo have been in the doldrums for several years and the Microsoft product, MSN Adcenter, has failed to attract commercial support.
Details of the early day motion can be found at EDM 788.
